Kate Williams, MSW, LCSW, CRFS

Kate brings extensive experience in facilitating an honest and open therapeutic relationship where she supports her clients throughout their lives. Kate is known for delicately weaving aspects of therapy that hold people accountable and challenge their perspectives while maintaining empathy and unconditional support.

 

Kate is highly regarded as a Couples Therapist and is fantastic at assisting clients going through life transitions, navigating relationships, managing seasons of parenthood, experiencing anxiety, depression, and OCD, and many other areas. Kate is a trauma-informed therapist and utilizes this lens in her work.

Kate utilizes a blend of therapeutic modalities that best fit the client’s needs. Trained in Emotion Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic and analytical methods, CBT, and somatic-based work. Kate meets a client where they are at and walks alongside them as they build a path toward improvement together.

Graduating with her Bachelor’s of Science in Health Sciences from The University of Oklahoma and her Master’s of Social Work from The University of Southern California, Kate is a collaborative and caring therapist who will always show up for you in the hard of life.

As a Certified Reunification Family Specialist (CRFS), Kate works with families navigating parent-child estrangement, high-conflict separation and divorce, reunification, and challenges related to family relationships. She provides a structured, therapeutic process designed to rebuild trust, strengthen communication, and support healthy parent-child connections when relationships have become strained or disrupted. Drawing from specialized training in family systems, attachment, and trauma-informed care, Kate collaborates with parents, children, attorneys, and court professionals to help families move toward greater stability, connection, and healing.

In addition, Kate is a Parent Coordinator. Parent Coordination is a child-focused dispute resolution process designed to help separated or divorced parents reduce conflict, improve communication, and effectively implement their parenting plan. As a Parent Coordinator, Kate works with parents to address ongoing co-parenting challenges, facilitate productive decision-making, and promote consistency for children across households. Through a structured and solution-focused approach, she helps families navigate disagreements related to parenting schedules, extracurricular activities, education, healthcare, and other child-related matters, with the goal of minimizing conflict and supporting the best interests of the child.

Lastly, Co-Parenting Therapy provides a supportive and structured space for separated or divorced parents to improve communication, navigate conflict, and develop a healthier parenting partnership. Kate helps parents identify unproductive patterns, strengthen collaborative problem-solving skills, and create more effective ways to support their children across two households. Through a trauma-informed and child-centered approach, she works with parents to reduce tension, increase understanding, and promote consistency, stability, and emotional well-being for the entire family.
